Robert is an industrial design alumnus of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. His design career has taken about as diverse a path as one could with projects ranging from designing jewelry, to creating life sized dinosaurs and eventually large scale rock and waterfall features in a private botanical garden in New York.
The many industries he has worked in include costume jewelry, furniture, architecture, interiors, restaurants, aerospace, seafood, attractions and water parks, national parks, casino, hotel and tourism, newspaper, museums, zoos, circus, construction, manufacturing, mascot design, parade floats, tradeshows, shipping (seaport), export, retail, wholesale, web, e-commerce and more.
He currently resides in New York City with wife Misa. Together they operate online retail businesses in Japan and have begun a new line of fashion jewelry. Robert also is in the process of developing another , soon to be launched, web startup and entertaining the occasional freelance project.

I have often had moments when my thoughts turn to "what if I had done things differently....if I had formed my career around a specialization or gone to work for "someone". I think I would have been bored to death. In the end it's not even a conscious decision, but a path that is directed by a constant and perhaps naive curiosity.
